Marcel Goupy (1886-1954) was a painter and watercolorist before turning to his passion for glass and ceramics. A graduate of the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, he met the gallery owner Georges Rouard in 1909, for whom he began creating decorations on glass. In 1914, he created his first enameled pieces. In 1919, he became head decorator, then artistic director of the Cristallerie de la Paix, located on Boulevard de l'Opéra in Paris, a position he held until his death. This prestigious place brought together the works of great creators such as Delaherche, Decoeur, Mayodon and Lenoble for ceramics, René Lalique, Maurice Marinot, Henri Navarre, André Turet for glass, and Decorchemont for glass paste. Goupy's decorations are often inspired by nature, plants, or represent nude women with great finesse. Thank you for visiting my shop,
with love and greetings, Ben
