Antique French Coquilla Snuffbox, Mozes And The Stone Tables
An antique snuffbox made of finely carved shell, decorated with a biblical scene. In the center, two stone tablets, engraved by God and offered to Moses on Mount Sinai, are depicted. On either side, a large figure holding a quill pen likely represents Moses. The snuffbox is finely and deeply carved, adorned with delicate motifs and decorations all around. Large flowers decorate each side, while the reverse features a more military motif.
