19th-century Medical Scarifier Made Of Brass, In Its Original Case
Authentic 19th-century medical scarifier made of brass, preserved in its original case.
This surgical instrument was used by physicians for bloodletting (phlebotomy) as well as for scarified cupping. Its spring-loaded mechanism simultaneously activates several blades to make small, superficial incisions before applying a cupping cup.
