Extremely rare Belgian solid silver oval dish with a rimmed border. The rim is engraved with an alliance coat of arms framed by rampant lions, all surmounted by a crown. Hallmarks for Tournai 1777 and the maker's mark of silversmith Laurent Detombe (a hallmark of two facing Ls framing the letter "D", all surmounted by a crown), received before 1764.
