Rare large Norman Wine Taster in solid silver from the Louis XV period with a swollen body. Characteristic thumb rest in a cut-out shape and engraved with a man holding a book in one hand, topped with the engraving "Dr PAUL". Border engraved "J. P CAPELAIN". Hallmark for ROUEN 1726-38, Hallmark of Maison Commune for ROUEN 1731 (S Crowned) and Hallmark (on thumb rest) of Master Goldsmith Jean René ROUSSEL received in 1731. Rare large Rouen Wine Taste early in the 18th century in very good condition with beautiful engraving and well hallmarked, beautiful size with its 119 grams. For the informed collector ....
