Large Auvergne wine taster in solid silver, known as a "Tassou," with a plain design and serpent handle, the rim engraved "I. ROUSAT." Hallmarked for ORLEANS 1775-81, the common hallmark for MOULINS 1775 (a crowned R), and hallmarks (body and handle) of the master silversmith Louis ROUX (hallmark with the initials "LR" and a crowned cross above a heart), authorized to work in Moulins.
