A rare Louis XV period solid silver platter with a bordered rim, engraved with a coat of arms surmounted by a Count's coronet. It bears the charge and discharge marks for Paris 1762-68, the guild mark for Paris 1767 (a crowned D), and the easily identifiable maker's marks (the initials "IAR" and a bird).
