Exquisite large circular platter in solid silver from the reign of St. Louis XVI by Puiforcat. The platter features a pattern of fillets, contours, and crossed ribbons. The rim is engraved with a stylized monogram. Hallmarked with the French Minerva 1st Standard mark (.950) on the rim and back, the maker's mark of silversmith Emile Puiforcat (hallmark with the initials "EP" and a penknife), and the full signature of the retailer "Laigniez". This magnificent Puiforcat platter is in very good condition, having been serviced and cleaned by our silversmith, with only minor scratches from use. Truly beautiful... Diameter : 33.4 cm
