A beautiful watercolor signed by Camille Hilaire (1916-2004), a major artist of the "Young Painting" movement of the School of Paris, depicting a female nude seen from behind, her head turned towards her right shoulder.
This work belongs to a series of highly prized nudes by the artist, often listed under the generic title "Blue Nude from Behind" or sometimes "Nude at the Window."
The subject is characteristic of his work from the 1970s, a period in which he reached his artistic maturity, blending Mediterranean light with Cubist structure.
In very good condition, the work is presented under a beige fabric mat (probably linen) and a gilt metal frame, typical of 1970s framing.
