Box With 2 Bottles, Late 19th Century

A superb rosewood marquetry box with a porcelain plaque on the lid and exquisite gilt and chased bronze mounts in the corners and around the porcelain plaque. It rests on four small gilt bronze feet. Inside are two thick crystal bottles with blue facets and their original, well-fitted, faceted stoppers, perfectly matching the bottles. Each bottle is adorned with deep blue lines and is translucent, richly cut with star motifs. It is in superb condition. It measures 25 cm long, 20 cm wide, and 15 cm high.
