The scalloped belt is dressed with a superb rosewood and violet wood veneer arranged in frieze, highlighting particularly meticulous marquetry work.
The front opens with a wide drawer in the waistband, offering discreet and practical storage space.
The top is upholstered in red leather with gilded small-iron decoration, framed by a gilded bronze moulding. The corners are highlighted by fine chased bronze falls, extended on curved legs finished with matching sabots.
The finely chased ormolu trim features fine foliate and rocaille decoration, with an important central motif on the front.
