"Relics Of Saints Gervais, Sylvester, John, Honoré And Cosmas - 18th Century "
An elegant gilt and carved wooden frame, decorated in the rocaille style, houses a montage of embroidery, pearls, and gold threads on embroidered silk. The upper section features an embossed oval medallion depicting the Virgin Mary holding a Sacred Heart. Five separate relics are offered for veneration: those of Saint Honorati, a bishop who died in 600 and the patron saint of bakers. He is surrounded by the following four saints: Gervasius, Sylvester, Cosmas, and John.
A work from northern Italy, dating from the late 18th century.
The seal is likely concealed beneath the cardboard backing.
