"Altar Predella – Early 18th Century "
Our predella is made of carved, polychromed and gilded wood. It receives in its center an oil on canvas "representing "The Deliverance of Saint Peter". The Deliverance of Saint Peter tells how the first of the Apostles who was the first pope, miraculously escaped from prison, delivered by an angel while the guards slept (Acts of the Apostles 12, 5-12). Piece dated top right 1722. A Spanish work.
Dimensions of 216 cm long by 41 cm high and 17 deep.
Condition of use - occasional losses on the canvas, wooden element recently consolidated on the back.
