Framed Oil On Canvas From The 17th Century
We present this magnificent oil on canvas painting from the 17th century "the pilgrims of Emmaus" sharing a frugal meal with Jesus. This canvas was re-canvased and passed into the hands of a talented restorer. This painting is of high quality execution and the characters are very expressive. The frame is later than the 19th century painting. We give no attribution because we do not know but it was certainly created by a very talented painter. (E23)
