Monstrance Reliquary With A Relic Of The True Cross - 19th Century

Like a lunula, a sealed theca of the True Cross sits in the center of our original monstrance in patinated brass. The phylactery specifies "De Ligno Cruxis" for the Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ. An episcopal seal on the back of the relic attests to its presence. In addition to the Eucharistic symbols, the monstrance speaks to us through its many parables.
The fish affixed to the base is a sign of recognition for Christians. The anchor illustrates this theological virtue that is Hope. Wings and Sacred Hearts participate ... in this silent expression
