Episcopal glovesused during solemn ceremonies. Episcopal gloves are partof the traditional liturgical vestments. Their use gradually fell intodisuse following the Second Vatican Council.
Ourpair is made of silk thread and richly adorned with embroidery ingold thread.
Thesegloves belonged to Monsignor Ricard Fornesa i Puigdemassa (1883–1943), whoserved as vicar capitular of the Diocese of Urgell in Catalonia and, in that capacity, was co-princeof Andorra beginning in 1940.
Ahistoric and unique piece, particularly of interest to acollection dedicated to liturgical vestments or the religious history of Andorra and Catalonia.
