Two Italian Reliquary Arms From Trapani - 18th Century
This pair of reliquaries is made of carved and silvered wood. It houses various relics, described as small, within a mount of paper filigree and orange coral, above which rests a red tiara with bullion.
The relics offered for veneration include those of Saint Maur, Abbot (a disciple and successor of Saint Benedict), Saint Francis Regis, Saint Vincent Martyr, Saint Chantale, and Saint Heliodorus Martyr.
Condition: Used - Losses to the fingers - No protective glass for the relic niches - Some damage to the reliquary mounts. Dimensions: 50 cm high x 13 cm wide.
