Relics Of Saint Bridget - 18th Century
An 18th-century Tyrolean piece in an elegant repoussé and gilt copper frame, finely chased with rocaille and foliage motifs. At the center of a mount of gold and silver cannetille and pearls sits an interesting bagged relic of Saint Bridget, likely Saint Bridget of Sweden. It is surrounded by four beautiful relics of Saints Fidelis, Honorius, Conrad, and Saint Martha. Four other relics, of more modest dimensions, complete this fine display.
On the back, like the five wounds of Christ, are positioned five wax seals of a religious congregation.
Dimensions: 54 cm x 39 cm.
Very good condition.
