Neo-gothic Altar Lectern - 19th Century
A richly openwork and chased Neo-Gothic bronze work, resting on four feet adorned with stylized foliage. The body is decorated with polychrome enameled quatrefoil panels, set with cabochons of colored glass in red, purple, and green, within a frame of finely crafted Gothic arcades. The sloping top features a painted fleur-de-lis cross surrounded by stars.
A high-quality piece reminiscent of 19th-century religious metalwork.
Good condition – some stains on the top.
