Tokkuri porcelain, partially lacquered. Late 17th century. Lacquered porcelain from this period is very rare; moreover, I know of no other example of lacquered Tokkuri. Usually, the lacquered areas of these porcelains are badly damaged, sometimes completely gone; the lacquer on our Tokkuri is exceptionally well preserved. No restoration. Good condition.
