The slender, wiry body expresses a restrained tension, accentuated by the head inclined over the right shoulder and the powerful modeling of the torso. The drapery of the loincloth, tied at the side, is beautifully rendered.
Presented in an antique giltwood frame with brown highlights. Flemish or French work, 17th century.
