The openwork spatulas are formed of curves, counter-curves, and branches around an unengraved oval cartouche.
The fish ladle is also extensively openwork and engraved with foliage, oak leaves, and scrolls.
The fork is engraved with the same motifs.
Each piece is hallmarked:
. 800 for the silver fineness.
. A crescent moon and a crown for the German solid silver.
. A tripod vase: hallmark of the Koch & Bergfeld mark.
. Herm. Schrader, for Hermann SCHRADER, a silversmith established in 1842. This is probably more of a dealer's mark.
. A swan, a later French control mark.
Koch & Bergfeld was founded in 1829 in Bremen, making it one of the oldest silverware producers still operating in Germany. It has supplied royal courts, German embassies, and the UEFA Champions League Cup.
Superb cutlery, with its magnificent openwork work that brings lightness and preciousness to the ensemble.
The silverwork is of excellent quality, as always with this great silversmith house. The pieces are heavy and thick.
