Solid silver stew spoon, filet model, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century.
It is hallmarked:
. 1st rooster hallmark for 950/°° silver, used in Paris between 1798 and 1809
. Old Man's head hallmark on the front for the guaranteed Parisian average mark
. Poorly struck silversmith's hallmark to be identified, probably ALA with a flower as a mark
Beautiful spoon of a classic model but of very good craftsmanship, it is thick and heavy, a sign of quality.
