## The term "Kiz" means in Turkish, "young girl" and tells us that we are in the presence of a carpet for private use and village production.
The many symbols present indicate to us, the belonging of this carpet to the nuptial carpets, rarely present on the market.
The wool pile of this carpet is thick and shiny, It is on the Anatolians that we find an innovation, the medallion, that the Turks borrowed from Persian knotters.
The medallion appeared in the sixteenth century on these Anatolian carpets, in fact the Ottoman Empire occupied Persia during this period, and exchanges were numerous.
These carpets are "close" to a type of carpet painted by a Venetian painter, Lorenzo Lotto (1480 - 1557) and a German painter Hans Holbein (1497 - 1543).
