Originating from the Kayseri region of Turkey.
This floral rug measures 125 cm wide by 190 cm long, 206 cm including the fringe.

This piece features a large floral design in shades of blue, echoing the style found on sumptuous Iranian rugs.
The quality of the design and the precision demonstrated by the weaver in the creation of this piece are noteworthy.
Knotted around 1970-1980, in perfect condition, including the pile, fringes, and selvedges.
Kayseri rugs always have a short pile, and their inspiration comes from antique Persian rugs, particularly those from Tabriz. Surprisingly, in Tabriz, silk rugs influenced by Kayseri rugs are also made.
This exchange of designs stems from the commercial and cultural contacts between the two cities.
These exceptional rugs, with their delicate motifs, are inspired by nature.
They feature interlacing plant designs in pastel shades, often accented with blue (as seen in our model), midnight blue, or cardinal red. Kayseri rugs are available in all sizes, knotted in wool or silk.
They are densely woven, finely knotted from very high-quality wool, and are suitable for heavy foot traffic.
The precision of the double knot, the Turkish knot, allows for a clear presentation of the designs, the overall look, and the harmonious color combinations, which is why these rugs are so highly valued.
