A true Persian masterpiece, knotted under the Kadjar dynasty in Persia, today Iran.
Decorated with a medallion with pendants or suspenders in the shape of small halberds accompanied by a rich work of flowers, palms, palmettes, naturalistic foliage.
This collector's piece measures 126 cm wide by 208 cm long.

A pure marvel and a true artifact of the art of Persian carpets and Persian culture.
Very fine, 2 mm thick, to be seen above all as a painting.
This type of piece will be placed on the floor, and its patina, its nuances, will delight the eye of the careful and considerate "lover".
On the wall, this work of art will shine with its thousand lights.
The central motif with double juxtaposed medallions decorated with two pendants, represents a large stylized flower in bloom, surrounded by other numerous flowers and interlacing covering the field midnight blue in color.
The main border composed of flowers and palmettes is incredibly rich. Note especially:
# the quality and delicacy of the naturalistic work of the flowers.
The colors, golds, many blues, ivory, wine lees, ..... richly embellish the whole. Superb collector's carpet, the Kashan in silk on silk are particularly rare.
This type of decoration makes it a true museum piece with very careful work.

# The last photo on a white background shows the complete reverse of the carpet..

Kashan (Kachan, Keshan): large city in the center of Iran. At the time of the Persian Renaissance, Kashan was the center of carpet production of legendary splendor.
Carpets with fine weaving, of very rich composition, were knotted by the royal factory of Shah Abbas.
They have become the centerpieces of museums and private collections.
Craftsmanship was interrupted in Kashan between the invasion of the Afghans (1722) and the end of the 19th century. The revival of production of carpets began with carpets that are distinguished by the superior quality of the wool.
This wool gives an extremely velvety and silky appearance to this production.
These examples are called Kashan Motashemi, from the name of the most famous master weaver of the end of the 19th century. The decorations are varied and offer a meticulous craftsmanship: hunting scenes, subjects with figures inspired by Persian mythology, birds in a plant decoration, trees of life.
Thanks to the superior quality of the wool, their tight knotting, the beauty of their natural colors and their designs, the Kashan took their place among the best Persian carpets.

## The Kadjar dynasty or Kadjars :
( Qājār, Qadjar, Qajar, Persian: قاجار )
is a Turkmen dynasty that reigns over Iran from 1786 to 1925.
This carpet has been professionally and ecologically cleaned.
