Kurdish rug circa 1970 - 1980 in wool on wool, hand-knotted in the soumak style, in perfect condition.
It measures 135cm wide by 250cm long. 280 cm with fringesStylized flower decoration for the whole placed on a brown field.
The colors, of natural origins on mixed wool, are chamois, indigot, midnight blue, curry, white, forest green, black, rust and white.
The wools come from sheep, goats, horsehair, camel hair, the whole is mixed and presents this tribal and nomadic roughness.
These nuances are all present in the register of nomadic or tribal rugs.
Two plain lines underline the border of elongated S.
Finish at both ends with long fringes in mixed wool.
Beautiful example of a rural rug knotted in the plains of Kurdistan.
This rug is in perfect condition, presenting a beautiful patina.
