From the second half of the 20th century around 1970 for a piece of very great comfort.
In perfect condition, this piece, measures 150 cm wide by 225 cm long.
The patterns and colors of the Kutaya are very close to the Yürüks rugs, (an Anatolian ethnic group).
The patterns of these first are more linear and the borders more simplified, the hooks on the perimeter of the diamonds disappear, however their decorations are fully close to the Caucasian rugs.
The kutaya are more often of an elongated format under these dimensions:
80/100 x 200/220------ 130/150 x 225/250------120/130 cm x 300/320 cm.
Knotted in wool on wool, we owe this type of carpets made by the semi-nomadic tribes known as the kutayas. They are adept at totally geometric stylistic designs and the use of colors whose arrangement is particularly harmonious, favoring blue, red and cream. These carpets are still knotted in villages but also in larger "cooperative" type workshops.
The colors regularly used are blue, red, cream and a touch of curry yellow.
## The last photo shows an: Antique Kutaya carpet also called Kutalya, in wool and silk (rare piece in very good condition, collection). This piece measures 111 cm x 165 cm, note the finesse, the quality of the design and the beauty of the colors. The pile is worked with scissors, depending on the colors, to give relief. Ottoman Empire (Turkey) from the second half of the 19th century, Anatolian work. This carpet has been professionally and ecologically cleaned.
