"Teheran Wool Carpet, Persia, Late 19th Century"
Ispahan velvet rug in kork wool on cotton foundations, of Persian origin, dating from the end of the 19th century. An ivory field welcomes a delicate wooded decoration, the main tree emerging from a vase with a shower base. All these trees of life with their multicolored flowers and leaves serve as a setting and perches for a multitude of colorful birds of paradise. A wide ivory border decorated with multicolored blooming corollas placed on shrubs, serves as shelter for a varied bestiary. It is flanked by two fuchsia borders with flowers, which form the frame of this idyllic vision of paradise. Multicolored palette and beautiful poetry. Dimensions: Length: 208 cm Width: 136 cm
