Persian Zanjan Rug, 118 Cm X 212 Cm, Hand-knotted Wool, Iran, Circa 1980 In Perfect Condition

From the village of Zanjan, regularly confused with the different types of carpets in northern Iran, and yet the Zanjans have a very particular decoration, as our model shows.
This rug measures 118cm wide by 212cm long, and is in perfect condition.
The wool used for these rugs is always of high quality and the use of natural dyes is still in order in this large sector where production is widespread under the name Hamadan.
The design is geometric and the colors very numerous, the line is harmonious using stylized patterns such as the flowers that can be seen.
The quality of the wool used in this region is good because it is silky, sometimes due to the use of goat mohair and camel hair.
The use of camel hair makes the rugs softer and lighter.
The range of colors, bright and vivid, used is specific to this region.
