Circa 1790/1820 France Pair of orientalist mules dating from the beginning of the 19th century. Square toe vamp in fawn leather embroidered with tulips in silver metal blade and cherry silk ribbon soutaches. Roundels with red silk ribbons and curved soles with light brown leather heels, cream cotton interior lining. Possible Ottoman work for Europe. Slight patina and cracking of the leather, otherwise very good general condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: length 25 cm, vamp 13 cm.
