Large Tunisian Silk Shawl Circa 1950
Circa 1950-1960 Tunisia Majestic large Tunisian shawl woven on a hand loom in the great silk tradition of Tunis. Very fine weave with stripes and checks in yellow, green, white, black and red, gathered in three strips sewn with yellow thread. At both ends, long fringes tied with cords and multi-colored pompoms. Very beautiful quality of silk, both fine and rigid. Never used, note a micro dirt in one corner, very difficult to observe. No hole or stain. Very beautiful condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: 325 cm x 100 cm. Fringes 20 cm.
