Carved wooden bas relief representing Serge of Radonège. Sergius of Radonezh (Сергий Радонежский) (1314 according to other sources 1322 - 1392), is an Orthodox saint, one of the most popular saints of Russia. He was a great spiritual and monastic reformer, miracle worker and protector of medieval Russia. Under glass. Wooden strapping around the perimeter with a visible defect. Velvet underneath.
