Serpentine Covered Pot, 19th Century
Carved serpentine pot. Can be used as a tobacco jar. The serpentine has been polished and is very soft to the touch. The interior is hollowed out to resemble a mortar. The socket has been restored and a small chip can be seen on the lower part (see photo).
