Full Dress Uniform Of The école Polytechnique. Full Uniform.
Full Dress Uniform of the École Polytechnique
Authentic Full Dress Uniform of the École Polytechnique, entirely original and in exceptional condition. The rare and highly sought-after feature of this set is that it is strictly uniform (single serial number): the jacket, pants, and bicorne all bear exactly the same student serial number: 919. The set has therefore never been separated since it was made. The set includes:
- The Jacket (Habit): Made of heavy navy blue/black wool cloth, with a fitted, double-breasted cut. All official gold buttons are present and perfectly sewn on. Original collar embroidery in gold cannetille thread.
- The Trousers: Straight cut, matching wool cloth, adorned with the famous double scarlet (red) vertical stripes on the sides.
- The Bicorne (Hat): Crafted by the prestigious house “André Berthel — Specializing in Uniform Hats, 18 rue de Tocqueville, Paris”. The blue silk lining bears the hatmaker’s mark in gold leaf. The original white ribbon is ink-stamped with the serial number 919. The black felt is in superb condition, with impeccable gold trim and a tricolor cockade.
