Craniotome or skull drill invented by the French doctor Hyppolite Blot in 1855 to replace Smellie's scissors. The instrument is signed "Dubois Paris". Composed of two metal blades ending in a quadrangular pyramid with a blunt edge and a sharp edge and two handles with a return blade.
