Imari Porcelain Lamp With A Swirling Floral Design – Bronze Base, Early 20th Century
An elegant lamp crafted from a high-quality Imari porcelain vase, featuring a rich, polychrome floral design in shades of cobalt blue, red, and gold.
The vase is distinguished by its continuous decoration, composed of large flowers, foliage, and branches of apple trees in bloom that unfold harmoniously around its entire circumference. This continuous composition, without any cartouche divisions, creates a particularly interesting design that appears different depending on the viewing angle.
The delicacy of the motifs, the richness of the colors, and the quality of the porcelain attest to its exquisite craftsmanship.
The vase, 16 cm tall, is set in an elegant bronze mount decorated with foliage, likely created when it was converted into a lamp in the early 20th century.
The piece is topped by a new pleated fabric lampshade, whose understated design highlights the colors and patterns of the porcelain.
The electrical wiring has been completely redone to meet current standards. The lamp is fully functional and ready to be installed.
Dimensions:
Total height with lampshade: 36 cm
