Art Deco Mottled Opaline Nightlight Czechoslovakian Bohemian Glassware Circa 1930 Bronze
Charming Art Deco period nightlight, circa 1920-1930, composed of a circular bronze and brass base resting on small ball feet. It houses elegant opaline glassware with polychrome speckled decoration, enriched with hot-applied red glass threads.
The decoration evokes certain productions in the taste of the Clichy glassworks, but the technique of the added glass thread points more towards a Central European manufacture, probably Bohemian or Czechoslovakian, typical of inter-war production.
This small lamp captivates with its highly graphic, luminous aesthetic. Once lit, the opaline diffuses a warm light particularly highlighting the colored inclusions and red lines in relief.
The set has been designed to be used in a variety of settings.
The set has been fully re-electrified to current standards and is ready for use.
