Charles X, King Of France—a Royalist Bust In Patinated Bronze And Sienna Yellow Marble
His Majesty Charles X, King of France and Navarre, a patinated bronze bust on a Sienna yellow marble pedestal mounted with patinated bronze. The King wears his classic dark blue uniform trimmed with silver, adorned with the Star of the Holy Spirit, the Golden Fleece, the Cross of Saint Louis, the Legion of Honor, and the sash of the Holy Spirit. A Royalist artifact from the Restoration period, circa 1830.
Our piece is a multi-purpose object, ideal for complementing early 19th-century décor. Crafted from high-quality cast iron, the decorations and details of the uniform are finely chiseled, and the King’s features and his distinctive chin are clearly recognizable. It can serve as a centerpiece on a dresser, mantelpiece, or writing desk (particularly practical for avoiding the need to place multiple clocks in the same room).
In very good overall condition, complete, with a beautiful dark brown patina; a few chips in the marble and a small chip at the upper rear corner.
Width: 11.5 cm
Height: 33.5 cm
