Topped with turquoise blue marble, it rests on ball feet with rounded uprights. It opens with 2 doors and 2 drawers in the belt, the left one fitted with compartments for storing silver cutlery. Parisian production in the Empire style and Restoration period, early 19th century, 1820s-1830s. The very high quality of this chest of drawers in the use of luxury materials including the impeccable assemblies and the interior of the doors, the case entirely mounted on a beautiful blond oak with regular grain, the very beautiful chiseled and gilded bronze trim, the luxury marble are undeniably the signature of one of the greatest Parisian cabinetmaking workshops, unfortunately unsigned. Beautiful amateur model, for a piece of furniture in everyday use. It is in very good house condition. The french polish has been cleaned and repolished by our cabinetmaker, minor lack of plating on the inside of the doors.
