An oval-shaped coffee cup made of Paris porcelain from the early 19th century (late Empire period or early Restoration).
We are aware of pieces signed by the Halley manufactory featuring decorations of this style and quality; our cup may have come from there.
Beautiful antique-style polychrome decoration on a purple background, accented with fine gold fillets on a white background; the interior is also gilded, creating the illusion of “drinking gold” when the cup is filled with coffee.
In perfect condition; the gilding is beautiful and very well preserved, no damage.
