Set Of 8 Empire-period Lacquered Wooden Dining Chairs
A set of 8 dining chairs made of molded, carved, and lacquered wood. In the antique style, the front legs are modeled after Roman swords. The front legs of the chairs aredecorated with a palmette and rosettes. The seats are upholstered in blue leather (?). Work from the Consulate or Empire periodaround 1800–1805.
In very good condition; the chairs are sturdy and ready for everyday use.
