"Living Room Furniture 4 Caned Armchairs From The Louis XV Regency Period"
set of 4 caned armchairs richly carved with rocaille, shell and foliage motifs, the legs with snail scrolls, the seats and backs are caned. They are covered with a cushion filled with green silk in the Louis XV style (double-sided, therefore reversible). Parisian work in oak from the end of the Regency period or the beginning of the Louis XV period. Mid-18th century, circa 1750.
Beautiful model, beautiful proportions, bold and generous carving, not stamped, they are the work of a good master carpenter in seats, follower of Cresson.
In excellent condition, the seats have been cleaned, rewaxed, the canework is in very good condition (seat redone for 2 seats), the silk is new.
