That’s the first impression—both visually and, above all, to the touch. Remarkable, impressive.
This is a Khorjin—that’s what it’s called—in other words, a bag once used by the nomadic peoples of Persia to carry various goods.
On the upper part, you can still make out the slit-closure system. Rings were used to fasten the whole thing shut, but they’re gone now.
Personally, I find this piece exceptional, and I can’t help but marvel at the finesse of its weaving—it’s truly moving.
