Antique Empire-style Walnut Display Cabinet With Original Blown Glass - Tuscany 1800s

Elegant two-part display cabinet in walnut wood, in the Empire taste, from Tuscany and datable to the 19th century. The upper section, designed for display, opens with two glazed doors framed by fluted pilasters on the uprights, surmounted by a projecting moulded cornice; the piece retains its original blown glass panes, with the characteristic slightly wavy surface typical of period craftsmanship. The lower section, enclosed by two solid walnut doors with attractive figured grain, is fitted with refined gilt-bronze escutcheons and handles in a laurel-wreath motif. The structure rests on turned pineapple-form feet, a decorative element typical of the neoclassical-Empire taste.
The piece retains a fine surface patina and is in good state of preservation, consistent with its age.
