19th Century Mahogany Display Cabinet
A mahogany bookcase dating from the early 19th century, crafted in a simple neoclassical style with Empire influences.
The bookcase features two doors fitted with a diamond-shaped metal lattice, originally intended to protect the books while keeping them visible. The upper section is adorned with geometric serrated molding, while the lower section rests on four straight legs featuring subtle arc-shaped notches.
The interior features several height-adjustable shelves. The doors are fitted with brass hardware and a lock in good working condition. The mahogany wood has a warm reddish-brown color with a beautiful, visible grain.
For an additional fee, we can also have the metal lattice replaced with glass.
