A 19th-century display cabinet or cabinet of curiosities, dating from the late Dutch Empire period, circa 1815–1825.This piece is crafted from oak and mahogany, with mahogany veneer featuring floral motifs.It features various profiled moldings on the top and bottom sections.The glass-paned doors retain their original brass hardware: hinges, side latches, mortise locks, and a functional lock.The interior, painted light gray, includes two spacious compartments and two central doors flanked by six dovetail drawers, each fitted with brass handles. The doors open on brass hinges; the left door is secured by a hook at the top, while the right door is adorned with a brass lock and has a functional lock. The entire piece boasts a beautiful warm hue and a silky sheen, thanks to its original wax finish.
