It’s virtually impossible to find. In this exceptional, complete condition, this type of item can be worth a fortune on the discreet collectors’ market or on certain specialized platforms.
This is a narrow, fully woven strip that was once used to secure the tent canvas to the frame.
Usually, only fragments are found—preserved pieces taken from partially damaged items.
This strip is complete and features a series of tribal geometric patterns along its entire 7-meter length.

This type of narrow weaving is produced on extremely rudimentary, horizontally oriented looms.
Simply imagine two pieces of wood stretched taut, to which the warp threads are attached—these threads determine the actual length of the piece. One end was secured to a tree trunk...
What’s particularly interesting are the hues along the edges: an intense indigo blue and a sort of bottle green well known to discerning collectors and identified as characteristic of 19th-century productions.
