This beautiful silver brooch depicts a lifelike cicada. The underside is rendered with the utmost realism, as are the veins on the wings. All the legs are present.

Fully functional hinged brooch mechanism and C-clasp.
On the “C” of the clasp, a crab hallmark and a diamond-shaped maker’s mark with the initials J—an unidentified symbol—G.
