Pillbox Decorated With Mistletoe, Circa 1900
This charming ivory box, shaped like a soap dish, has a hinge and a push-button closure. Its lid features an incised and painted mistletoe garland design, composed of gilded branches and green leaves, with berries represented by tiny white half-pearls.
A perfect New Year's gift, for holding pills, or for keeping baby teeth safe after the Tooth Fairy's visit!
Please note: There is a tiny crack on the lid at the 6 o'clock position.
Some minor repairs have been made to the decoration, and a few beads have been replaced.
In very good condition, the clasp and hinge are fully functional.
